Passage plan stages

A passage plan has 4 stages, Appraisal, Planning, Execution, Monitoring.
In appraisal stage all information relevant to the contemplated passage should be considered.
In a planning stage, based on al information available, a detailed voyage plan should be prepared which covers the entire passage from berth to berth.
In execution stage the passage should be executed in accordance with the plan or any changes made there to.
Monitoring means that the plan is available at all times and should be monitored closely.
